Is God's Love A License for Us To Live Our Own Way? | Gay and Christian
Many of us wouldn't dare admit that we are living in constant rebellion with God so we say things like "God knows my heart" or "God still loves me anyway" but if we actually take the time to understand that we were made by God for His glory, then we would understand that though God's love for us never runs out it does not mean that He approves of the homosexual lifestyle.
The thing about the sin of homosexuality is that it is impossible to repent from a sin that you are actively participating in. To repent means to turn away from. I used to believe that God's grace was enough to cover me as I continued in disobedience, but He quickly reminded me that His grace is not a license to sin.
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Romans 6:1-2 NIV
God's unfailing love, grace, and mercy are always intended to drive us to repentance and surrender so that we may continually be able to serve Him with our lives and our bodies.
