Are you the same person that you were before you met God? If so we need to talk! In this video, we will be testing ourselves on whether we have been walking in faith or if we have been living a lie.
Faith brings us salvation / Active obedience demonstrates that our faith is genuine.
We were saved because we believed in Jesus Christ by faith, but what do we have to show for that? When you are a servant of God, your life should produce fruit. A lot of people say they follow God and they love him and all that good stuff but have nothing to show for it. Ask yourself these questions:
Do you walk with God like you say you do?
Has your life changed?
Do you have a relationship with him? Where is your testimony?
Is your life producing good fruit or rotten fruit?
How can we say that we walk with God but don't obey when he tells us to do something? Or how can we say that we love him but still continue to live in the flesh and do the same things that we used to do before?
If our lives remain unchanged we don't truly believe the truths that we profess to believe Genuine faith always produces good works. If you are following God and the leadings of the Holy Spirit, there is no way that your life will be the same; No good works will be left undone because the two go hand in hand and when you respond to the promptings of the holy spirit and you are putting the action behind your faith, there is bound to be good works and good fruit. If there is not it's like do you really believe what you claim to be professing?
Dear friends, do you think you’ll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it? For instance, you come upon an old friend dressed in rags and half-starved and say, “Good morning, friend! Be clothed in Christ! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!” and walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup—where does that get you? Isn’t it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense?
