Sometimes when we get comfortable with something we know we shouldn't be doing, and so it doesn't feel like sin anymore. You become so used to this thing, that it doesn't seem wrong anymore and you begin to defend it. My question to you is: What have you been doing so long that you no longer realize that it's sin?
What happens when you love your sin?
You become attached
You defend it
You start to rationalize
It feels good to be in sin...until it doesn't
Falling into sin is a trap. It's satisfying to give in until you have to face the consequences until it consumes you from the inside out. At this point, we start to panic because we're losing control; sin starts controlling us, and now we're crying out to God for help.
Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. Romans 1:24 NIV
