You're not in the word of God
You're too busy
You're not being obedient
God speaks through His word
In order to hear from God, you have to familiarize yourself with His word to get familiar with what He sounds like, his character, etc. God and His word are one which means that nothing that you hear God say will contradict His word (John 1:1). Don't overcomplicate reading the Bible. You can start by downloading the YouVersion Bible app and looking for a plan related to what you're experiencing in life.
The more obedient you are, the more sensitive you are to the Holy Spirit.
God is ALWAYS speaking. We don't hear God sometimes because we want to hear Him in a specific way. We want Him to do something extravagant or we won't believe that it's Him speaking. It's also hard to hear God when He's saying things that you don't want to hear. When we disagree with God we tend to shut out his voice, especially when we don't plan on doing what he's telling us to do. The more you obey God's voice, the easier it will be to hear him.
